Delete your account
You can ask us to permanently delete your Shine Education account and the personal data linked to it at any time.
How to request deletion
In the mobile app
Open the Shine Education app, tap your profile in the bottom bar, then choose Delete account and tap Delete my account. Your account is deleted immediately.
By email
Email info@shineducation.com from the email address registered on your account, with the subject “Account deletion request” and your username.
What gets deleted
- Your account, sign-in details and profile information
- Your posts, comments, saved items, follows and exam attempts
- Profiles you own. If a profile has collaborators, it is handed to one of them instead so the page stays up.
How long it takes
In the app, deletion is immediate. Email requests are verified as coming from the account owner and completed within 30 days.
What we may keep
Records we must keep by law, such as marketplace order receipts, are kept with your account unlinked, only as long as required.
