Eastpole lifts the team trophy for the third time
Winner with 12 gold medals

Kathmandu, Nepal – The 5th Valley-Wide Open Junior Wushu Championship, organized by Jorpati Wushu Quan and held at Gokarneshwor Sports City Hall, concluded successfully after three days of exciting competition.

Eastpole Wushu Quan emerged as the overall Team Champion, securing an impressive haul of 12 gold, 6 silver, and 6 bronze medals. Under the guidance of coach Bijay Sinjali, Eastpole has achieved remarkable success in a short period of time.

Speaking after the victory, Coach Sinjali said that the team’s achievement was the result of continuous hard work, dedication, and the commitment of the athletes. He emphasized that discipline remains the strongest asset of the team. He also expressed gratitude to all members of Eastpole Wushu Quan and the organizing committee for helping the team secure the championship title for the third consecutive time.

Alchemist Wushu Team finished in second place with 6 gold, 1 silver, and 5 bronze medals. Team coach Pasang Sherpa stated that the result would further motivate and inspire their athletes for future competitions.

Manmaiju Wushu Quan secured third place in the team standings with 5 gold, 9 silver, and 8 bronze medals.

Outstanding Athletes

In the Taolu category, Pema Gyalbo Lama of Alchemist was declared the Best Male Athlete, while Yumi Awal of Jorpati Wushu Quan was named the Best Female Athlete.

In the Sanda category, Sagar Gurung of Dakshinkali Wushu Quan was awarded Best Male Athlete, while Diya Salami of Pragya School was recognized as the Best Female Athlete.

The championship was organized by Jorpati Wushu Quan with financial support from the Gokarneshwor Municipality. The event was held from Jestha 15 to 17, 2083 (Nepali Calendar) and featured a large number of talented junior athletes from various Wushu Quans across the Kathmandu Valley.

According to Narayan Shrestha, President of Jorpati Wushu Quan and Coordinator of the Championship, the fifth edition of the tournament witnessed an exceptionally high level of participation and showcased some of the most talented junior Wushu athletes in the region. He expressed confidence that the competition would continue to contribute significantly to the development of junior Wushu in Nepal.
